As you can see, I've missed quite a few blog posts while I was in Japan. Clearly, I'm slacking.
Now that I'm back, I've got a lot to do. Where to even begin?
First, I've got six days' worth of blogs to catch up on. I'll be posting two blogs per day until I catch up.
I've also had a lot of work pile up in my absence. I spent very little time on the Internet during my trip, so my emails got rather backed up in my absence. Luckily, we had extra help in the office and the awesome Heidi managing the workload, so we didn't come home to a huge pile of mailroom work! I'm incredibly grateful for that, so all I've got to do is focus on my normal priorities.
However, we still have lots to do to prepare for PAX East in a couple of weeks, including getting our pallets of merch ready for the freight company to pick them up and start heading to Boston in just a few days. Very likely we'll be working through the weekend, fighting jetlag.
Most of all, though, I'm a man of routine, and that routine has been shattered. I'm in the process of picking up the pieces of my daily habits, trying to fit them back together, like the fragments of a dish that was dropped to the floor. Everything is fitting weirdly at the moment.
By the time I get things relatively back to normal, though, I'll be back on a plane heading to Boston, so my schedule will go right out the window again.
So, I'll be a slave to exhaustion until late April, I believe.
It was totally worth it, though.
