Sometimes I just have so much going on in a single day that I don't know how I'll ever squeeze time out of the day to sit down and write a blog.
Today is one of those days, yet here I am.
I think one of my mistakes lately has been writing these things later in the day, "when I have time."
Bad idea. That time never comes. I've been pretty lucky so far, but sometimes I can't kick out a blog post until after midnight. My goal is for 365 blog posts by the end of the year, not necessarily one each day strictly speaking... but still.
Moreover, when I start writing a post later in the day I'm much more likely to be tired or muddled, especially when I'm writing late at night.
Today I'm writing this post while waiting for people to arrive to tonight's D&D session, which is another obstacle in my blog-writing efforts: after work activities. When is there ever time to write?
I think the answer will probably be in the morning. I'm not sure when it happened, but I think I'm becoming a morning person. Or, at least, someone who is fairly active shortly after waking up. I wake up pretty late, so I'm probably disqualified from the title "morning person."
It feels like it wasn't so long ago that I was more active at night than during the day. I'm not sure what changed. I don't think it's as simple as a matter of maturity, since I don't think maturity has anything to do with one's circadian rhythm.
However, it may be related to age, combined with my relatively early schedule. Perhaps I'm just slowing down in my old age, heh. When I'm up for too long, rather than keeping on going my body just wants to shut down and sleep.
I'm not sure. Anyway, I managed to write a blog post today, so there we go.
